In 1998, I was involved in a car accident which caused injury to my neck. I received therapy for several months after that to “correct” the problem. However, I continued to have pain in my neck and back. I suffered from headaches almost daily after that incident. I basically lived by taking large amounts of Tylenol to relieve the discomfort. I had decided that I would just have to live with the problems so, therefore, I just needed to accept that the pain would be a part of my life. I was determined not to let it stop me from doing whatever I chose to do.

From 1998 through 2000, the problem got worse. It affected my sleep and caused me not to be able to move my head at times because the pain shot down my shoulders and back. On one occasion, I was emptying the dishwasher when I experienced severe pain in my lower back and could not straighten up. I went to the doctor and was told it was a pinched nerve and that I should go home and rest for several days. He said Tylenol would help. It lasted over a week. I took a pillow to work to cushion my back.

I was afraid of more pain from twisting and pulling, which is what I envisioned. I told him I would think about it. I never dreamed that I would agree to treatment.”

In December of 1999, I had the good fortune to meet Dr. Wallace at a business meeting. I asked him about his practice. He asked me if I was feeling well. Apparently, he could tell that I had a tremendous headache. I told him I was fine. He told me I should come in for an evaluation, that he felt he could help me. Well, I had a phobia of chiropractors. I was afraid of more pain from twisting and pulling, which is what I envisioned. I told him I would think about it. I never dreamed that I would agree to treatment.

Well after that, my family made a trip to Galveston (a 12-hour drive). I had the opportunity to fulfill one of my lifelong dreams. I rode a horse on the beach with my daughter. It was a wonderful experience until the next morning, when I couldn’t get out of bed. My back hurt in the exact same place as before, only WORSE.

The ride home from Texas was a nightmare. On the way home, we stopped after 4 hours because of my pain. We had purchased pillows at Walmart to cushion me from the bumps in the road, but that did not help. I popped Tylenol so often that I didn’t even remember how many times. The next day, we were about an hour out of St. Louis, and I was ready to get more Tylenol out of my purse when I found Dr. Dave’s card. Out of desperation, I called him. He said to come right in. When he looked at my x-rays and told me that I was out of alignment in my neck and lower back, my hips were uneven, and my jaw was jutting out. I determined that I was a mess. He told me that I was in need of treatment, and that he could help me become healthier and feel better. I decided I should “be brave” and give it a try. After all, he was the first doctor who gave me hope.

Well, I’ll be the first to tell you that I am very glad that I listened to Dr. Wallace. … I have not felt this good in years.”

Well, I’ll be the first to tell you that I am very glad that I listened to Dr. Wallace. In the time that I have received treatment, I can noticeably tell the difference in my health. I can now sleep straight through the night and get up in the morning without having pain in my neck. I have only had one headache since December of 2000. Even my allergies have gotten better. I have not had to take one Benadryl this Spring (2001). I have not felt this good in years. I can’t believe how foolish I was to not get treatment sooner.

If you have decided to receive chiropractic care from Dr. Dave, I congratulate you on your decision. You will be feeling a lot better soon. You’ll be amazed at how much more energy you will have. It’s a great relief to be pain free.

Thank you, Dr. Wallace!!
